Official C&C Reborn Forums Rules

On behalf of the development team I'd like to welcome you to the official forums for C&C Reborn a total conversion for C&C Renegade. This post contains a list of simple rules to keep in mind when making use of these forums. The most important thing to remember is that you are a guest here on the Reborn forums, and like any good guest If you act in a civilised and polite manner you'll be welcomed into the community where everyone's opinion is taken into account. Before you begin posting, i'll ask that you read over the rules and keep them in mind when posting.

Thank you

- C&C Reborn Development Team

:: General Rules ::

  • No posting links to warez, cracks, or multiplayer cheat programs for Renegade or any other game.
Topics or posts violating this rule will be deleted on the spot; depending on the circumstances, violators will be either warned or banned outright.
  • No posting of or posting links to pornographic images.

These posts will be deleted on the spot and the offender will be warned.
  • Abusive, inflammatory, comments directed at any specific member of the forums or to a group as a whole are subject to sanction.
  • No spam or advertisements
Advertising your clan or own mod in the Clan Forum is okay, but a topic or post with a link to one of those pyramid-scheme type clickback sites or something else without any value to anyone on the forums whatsoever is liable to be deleted instantly and the offender warned. If you're having second thoughts about whether something is spamvertisement or not, then rest easy, your topic is probably OK. This rule targets those who are trying to profit by spamming their links all over the place.
  • No registering of duplicate or second accounts.
You are allowed a single profile and no others, just like 99% of any other forums on the Internet. Also, creating another profile to evade a ban will only get you in more trouble.
  • Try to use sane formatting, grammar, and language when posting, if people can't understand you then there's definitely a problem
  • These rules also apply to signature images.
Persons with signature images in violation of any of the forum rules will be either directed to change their signature or have their signature changed for them.
  • Keep your signatures within a decent size limit.
Persons with signature images that exceed 1meg in size or exceed what would constitute a normal image size (600 pixels * 100 pixels), will be asked to either change their signature image or resize it. Failure to comply with this request will result in your signature being edited for you. Constant violation of this rule will result in you being unable to edit your signature.
  • Keep your avatar within the required size limit (150 pixels * 150 pixels).
  • Excessive or continuous violation of any of these rules will result in action being taken against the perpetrators.
"Action" includes warnings, topic/post deletion, username banning, IP banning, and global S&D banning.
  • The rules are subject to change at any time, without prior notice.
In practice we will try to let you know when the rules have been changed and we will ask that if and when changes are made to the rules, that you check over them again.

    When will Reborn be released?
  • This is a question we have seen constantly littered about the forums in the form of new topics or general posts. Please bear in mind that the development team are creating this total conversion on their own free time for absolutely nothing, all that they ask in return is for a bit of patience on your part.
Anyone who constantly creates topics or posts asking this question or any question like it will be warned, continuous violation of this rule after being warned will result in a permanent ban.
  • Don't ask to be a beta tester.
If we think you're good beta tester material we'll ask you. Asking this is just as annoying as asking when the mod will be finished.
  • No smack-talking Red Alert : A Path Beyond, C&C Reborn or any other C&C based total conversion team or team-members thereof.
This rule is self explanatory, a lot has happened in the past to make highlighting this rule a dire neccesity, so as a result any such person or persons who constantly break this rule will be outright banned from this forum, permanently.
  • If you need to address a member in particular use the private messaging system.
Creating topics addressed to a particular member, such as
    Quote:
    To <person>
in order to communicate with them will be erased instantly, no questions asked.
  • Report abusive behaviour to the moderators
This includes notification of abusive behaviour by the moderators, which goes to either Reborn or Pendullum. Be aware that although we monitor the forum, we may miss certain actions and as a result no action will be taken, so if you see something, report it to a member of the Reborn development team.
  • Drama, mod war, stupid topics
All topics related to a mod war, a comment about how the mod is conducted, suggestion that are only related to staff decision (such as management or similar) will be moved to the garbage without notification.

Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
